CNA

  •       Provides for activities of daily living by assisting with serving meals, feeding patients as necessary and ambulating, turning, and positioning patients; and providing fresh water and nourishment between meals.

  •       Provides adjunct care by administering enemas, douches, non-sterile dressings, surgical preps, ice packs, heat treatments, sitz and therapeutic baths; and applying restraints.

  •      Maintains patient stability by checking vital signs and weight; testing urine and recording intake and output information.

  •       Provides patient comfort by utilizing resources and materials; transporting patients; answering patients’ call lights and requests; and reporting observations of the patient to nursing supervisor.

  •   Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.

  •      Maintains work operations by following policies and procedures.

  •        Protects organization’s value by keeping patient information confidential.     

  • Serves and protects the hospital community by adhering to professional standards, hospital policies and procedures; federal, state, and local requirements     

  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, participating in professional organizations, and maintaining licensure.

  •       Enhances nursing department and hospital reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments

LPN

  • Record a patient’s medical history accurately

  • Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc.

  • Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc.

  • Monitor patients’ condition including fluid intake and output and compose patient charts

  • Assist ailing patients in daily necessary activities such as eating, bathing etc.

  • Administer injections, prescribed medications, enemas etc., clean and dress wounds and assist with other basic medical care tasks

  • Collect samples for lab testing as assigned

  • Provide emotional and psychological support when needed

  • Communicate with patients’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort and release instructions

  • Proven experience as LPN or similar role

  • Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team

  • Familiarity with hospital health, safety and sanitation standards and procedures

  • Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices

  • Excellent knowledge of medical and hospital terminology

  • Good knowledge of MS Office and data entry

  • Perfect physical condition and stamina

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Compassionate and able to handle stress

  • Successful completion of LPN license program is a must

 

RN

  • Conducts an individualized patient assessment, prioritizing the data collection based on the patient’s immediate condition or needs within timeframe specified by client facility’s policies, procedures, or protocols. 

  • Ongoing assessments as determined by patient’s condition and/or the client facility’s policies, procedures or protocols and reprioritizes care accordingly.

  •  Develops plan of care that is individualized for the patient reflecting collaboration with other members of the healthcare team. 

  •  Performs appropriate treatments as ordered by physician in an accurate and timely manner. 

  •  Performs therapeutic nursing interventions as established by individualized plan of care for the patient and his/her family. 

  •  Delivers care with appropriate age and cultural competence to specific patient populations according to individualized needs. 

  •  Provides individualized patient/family education customized to the patient and his/her family. 

  •  Documents patient assessment findings, physical/psychosocial responses to nursing intervention and progress towards problem resolution. 

  •  Initiates emergency resuscitative measures according to adult resuscitation and advanced life support protocols. 

  •  Maintains confidentiality in matters related to patient, family, and client facility staff. 

  •  Provides care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner that is sensitive to the patient’s and family’s diversity, preserving their autonomy, dignity, and rights. 

  •  Reports patient condition to appropriate personnel during each shift. 

  •  Maintains current competency in nursing specialty by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
